TRUCK & TRAILER TECHNICIANS WANTED
Your role is to repair and maintain the company’s fleet of equipment to ensure that all company, local and Federal Safety and Operating Standards are met. Third party equipment repair and maintenance are also undertaken, although Western Force equipment takes priority.
- You will need to have knowledge of machines and tools, (including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance)
As the Mobile Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technicians, and the other Tractor Technicians to complete Preventative and Proactive maintenance and repairs on the Western Force fleet in a timely and efficient manner. You must diagnose problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. This position will work outside of the shop running our Mobile Repair Unit.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of Level 1 Heavy Equipment Technician
- Experience diagnosing and repairing trailers is an asset
- Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities will be key to your success in this position
- Ability to provide superior customer service to our drivers
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to work outside in all temperatures
Please note this position is permanent full-time and subject to a weekend shift.
